Ryan offers a series of classes specifically tailored for kids interested in cartooning, creative writing, or illustrating comics and manga.

Program Descriptions:

Making Comics 101
An awesome lesson in how to make comics! As a kid and through the years, Ryan learned the love of art and reading from comic books. Now, Ryan will show how understanding how creating comics is a great way to express yourself. Exercises include learning why "a picture is worth a thousand words", how narration and dialog can dictate how pictures are drawn (and how a picture can dictate how dialog is written), and other great lessons in telling a story in a new and different way. Students get to learn comics fundamentals; timing, pacing, panel progression, and try their hand at writing and drawing strips of their own. A great starting point for beginers and even advance comics creators.

The Great Drawing Game
Ryan's super secret weapon! An amazingly addictive game that inspires creativity and helps tone advanced artists' ability to think and draw instinctively. In Ryan's opinion, it is his favorite way at expressing the true meaning of creativity. Intrigued? (Ryan could just tell you the rules of the game...but he really wants to come to your school and play the Game with your students!)
